WHAT TO DO IF YOU'RE CONFUSED . Part 2

June 06, 2020 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

1Pet5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

In the previous teaching, we saw what David did when he was confused. Valiant and wise men experience confusion sometimes on issues that bother on their area of expertise. However, having known that the first biblical step to take is to make enquiries from God on what should be done, it is important to emphasize the place of achieving inner stillness in the process of making enquiry. In moments of confusion, it may be difficult to hear God clearly if we are not calm on the inside.

Confusion comes with anxiety. Often, anxiety is an indicator of inner turbulence. When the enemy achieves this, it becomes impossible to be led by the Spirit of God. The devil knows that the moment you receive God's leading, your confusion would be over. He tries to make us anxious so that he can keep us in the dark about the solution. Paul said, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;"(Phil4:6). The cure for anxiety during confusion is prayer.

In moments of confusion, pause the pursuit of what you're confused about because there's a high tendency of making mistakes in moments of confusion. Present your cares and worries to God and roll them over to him. 'Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you."(1Pet5:7). The moment you start dealing with anxiety this way, confusion will start losing its grip over you. Get into God's presence and be real. Speak to him and tell him how you feel about that issue. Mention your worries and the areas of your life where confusion exists to him.

Action point
