THIS QUESTION

Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” NLT

In the days of Prophet Isaiah, God needed a messenger who will deliver his counsel to the people. God had a target group he wanted to reach but he needed someone to do the job for him. Then God asked the question: "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?". He could have sent angels but he chose to send a human being. Isaiah was on ground and he heeded the call to go. There is a call of God upon the life of every believer to do something for God. The call of God is not limited to the five-fold ministry gifts. Those in the five-fold are to raise believers who will be useful for the work of ministry within and without the church(Eph4:12).

Today, God still has target groups he want to reach. There are ministry opportunities everywhere in need of someone who will faithfully deliver the counsel of heaven. Recently, the cases of robbery and theft increased. Some of the thieves that were caught are teenagers. Around me, I kept seeing young boys who are into internet fraud and drugs. Without any doubt, I know there is a great harvest yet unreaped among teenagers but the question God is asking is: "who will go for us?" The prostitutes I see today are young girls in their early twenties. I read in the news that there are teenagers in the business of prostitution.

Every anomaly around is a pointer to the fact that ministry opportunities are there. There is no field of ministry that is saturated yet. This is because one man or ministry cannot do everything. There is a burden God has placed in your heart for children and teenagers ministry. What about the burden to reach out to the unreached people groups of the world? Yours maybe a calling to the prostitutes and downtrodden or a ministry to singles and the married. God sees all of these yet He is still crying: "who shall go for us?" This is simply because you're yet to respond to the call. Do not waste time any longer. Your reluctance in responding to the call may be sending someone to hell. You're the one on whom the hope and restoration of many lie.

Action point

Father, I receive the grace to heed the call to go wherever you want me to go in Jesus name.
