Psalms 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
LOCATING YOUR GREENER PASTURES
It is common to hear people travel abroad in search of greener pastures. What they are looking for is a place where things are better than where they are. They are seeking for better opportunities, good standard of living, a place where government is responsible for safety of lives and properties. Further, greener pastures to some people denotes a place of financial abundance and less struggles. There is nobody that doesn't like where the pastures are green. The shepherd of old move about with their sheep in search of greener pastures. That is what we see the nomadic Fulani people doing today.
There is something you need to note from that verse. It was the Shepherd that made the sheep to lie in greener pastures. It was not the sheep. The only duty of the sheep is to obey the leading of the shepherd. Sheep do not know where there are quality grasses for grazing. There are poisonous grasses or plants. A skillful shepherd knows the difference between quality green pastures and poisonous green pastures. The point there is that the Shepherd is responsible for locating where the pastures are green and it is the responsibility of the sheep to obey.
So many have left the will of God for their lives because they want to travel to a country or town where the pastures are greener. They didn't take time to listen to God's direction. When they hear that a country is giving immigrant visa to people, they rush there without asking God if it is his will. In the process, some families broke while others lost their lives. Only God can determine for you where the pastures are green not the outlook of the economy. The general outlook of the economy maybe bad but God always reserve a green spot for his own while in other places touted as good economies, the pastures may not be green for some. You need to start living your life on purpose as led by the shepherd. He knows what is good for you.
CONFESSION: I shall not miss my destined location in life. I shall hear the voice of the shepherd and I shall obey. I walk in the realities of Psalms 23 in Jesus name.
