THE REALM OF OVERFLOW
The phrase 'my cup runneth over'speaks of abundant supply. A cup runs over when it cannot hold all that is being poured into it. It is the duty of the Good Shepherd ( John 10:11, 14) to care for His sheep and to supply what the sheep need in abundance even in difficult times (Psalm23:1-2). As long as the sheep is connected to the Good Shepherd, there is nothing like economic crunch or recession.
In the economy of the Good Shepherd, abundance is the order of the day. We become worried when we hear about inflation, fall in global oil prices and when economic analyst tell us how bad the economy is. Apostle Paul made a profound statement that must be our watchword in times of need. He said to the Philipian church, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" ( Philipian4:19). Our needs are not supplied according to the state of the economy but according to Christ's riches. Hallelujah!!! The sheep lives in the Shepherd's economy where there is an overflow of supply.
This abundance is not limited to material blessings under the Old Covenant, but it also includes the Holy Spirit’s future outpouring upon all who ask (Luke 11:13; Acts 2:1–4). The Holy Spirit is available for anyone that is willing for an infilling. Your life can become an outflow of his power and graces if you submit to him. Jesus said, "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water"(John 7:38). This can be fulfilled when there's a genuine thirst and hunger for him.
CONFESSION: I walk in the realities of Psalms 23. I swim in God's abundance and provisions. I lack nothing. I operate in the realm of spiritual overflow.I am a carrier of the Spirit's power and glory. I am an agent of transformation. I walk in the realities of Psalms 23.
