THE PROVISION OF RESOURCES
In ancient times, after ensuring the safety and security of the sheep, the shepherd is saddled with the responsibility of providing food and other necessary things the sheep may need. Till date, one of the reasons herders and farmers clash is related to this issue of provision. There are cases of herders leading their herds to graze on farms. This action angered the farmers and that has led to blood shed in middle belt Nigeria.The desperation to provide for the herds was what led these herders to invade the farms of farmers. The sheep need not worry about provision because it is the duty of the shepherd.
The Lord is your Shepherd, you need not to worry about provision of resources. Sheep don't worry. If you have lived in the village setting where there are goats and sheep, you will notice that sheep stay calm waiting for food but goats go everywhere seeking to eat whatever they find. In fact, villagers are wary of goats so they protect their yams from roaming goats. Listen to what Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-26: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
You are too valuable to God to be left without adequate provision. The anxiety about where provisions will come from has made some believers to dabble into dubious dealings even some preachers of the gospel. They just can't trust God for divine supply. The rate at which fraudsters defraud people of their hard-earned money is alarming. Those that walk in the realities of Psalms 23 do not look out for provision in the wrong way but their confession is, "My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus"
CONFESSION: I walk in the realities of Psalms 23. My provision comes from above. I receive divine supply for all my needs. My needs are met and my bill are paid In the name of Jesus Christ.
