During my service year, one of the sad stories I was told as a fellowship leader was about a group of fellowship executives who were at loggerheads with their leader.
They were all in a bus travelling for evangelism. Unfortunately, the rebel group had accident and landed in hospital. It was only God's mercy that preserved them but they had scars.
These sad stories are not something I am happy about but they reinforce to my consciousness the danger of staging a rebellion. Satan is always looking for an inroad into our lives. The moment he finds the seed of disloyalty and rebellion, he latches on that to do his dirty job.
The end of Absalom was a very bad one. Despite David's warning to Joab and his men not to hurt him yet he died. Aready, he pressed a self destruct button.
The end of the road for rebels is untimely death most times. Have you forgotten Korah, Dathan and Abiram? They opposed Moses the man of God. He was the called of God though he had his imperfections but the hand of God was upon him for that assignment. These men derided him.
The bible says, "The earth opened its mouth and swallowed the men, along with their households and all their followers who were standing with them, and everything they owned"( Num 16:32 NLT). The painful thing is that their household suffered alongside.
I don't know why I am writing on this subject this season but I know it is in line with the inspiration I have.
My dear reader, the Spirit is warning you not to rebel against any leader. If you want to live long and enjoy your stay here fulfilling God's purpose, steer clear of whatever and whoever will make you rebel or become disloyal to your leader. Your life is preserved by God's power.
