Aithophel gave Absalom an abominable counsel. He was advised to have sex with his father's concubines publicly.

Even If someone tells you to do what is abominable, common sense should make you say "No" but the case of Absalom was different. Because the spirit of rebellion ruled his hearts, he did as he was told.

Most times, when people are hell bent on rebellion and conspiracy they do the unthinkable without thinking about the repercussion.

Pastor E.A.Adeboye told the story about one of their pastors who took over the church in the days of the first general overseer. A delegate went to him including the general overseer to appeal to him rescind his decision but he remained adamant. In a nutshell, the man became leprous thereafter.

Severally, I have shared the story of a man I know who was gifted in the prophetic and can lead the congregation to pray. These two graces endeared many to him. His church sent him to head one of their branches.

On getting there, he took over the church and separated from the parent church. He took ill, went blind and died. Before he died, the news of his blindness went viral. That was how he ended his ministry. Why, he did the unthinkable.

Once the spirit of Absalom operates in a man's life, he surrounds himself with counselors who will tell him to do what is unthinkable. Beware of those counseling you against your boss at work or your most senior pastor.

If they put you in-charge of money either in the church or a business, do not betray trust by taking that money to establish yourself. Those counseling you to do that are setting you up for destruction. It is an Absalomic action with grave consequences.

May God give you the eyes that sees so you can spot every Aithophel in your company. You don't need to fight and scatter the whole place If you have the mind of pioneering something. Just resign the normal way and ensure nothing from your leader goes with you. That's how to be blessed.
