An angel appeared to Manoah's wife giving her certain instructions about what she shouldn't eat and drink because of the kind of child she will bear.
Also, he gave her some instructions about the life of the soon to be born child. Prior to that time, she was barren. That angelic appearance was a good news as regards their long awaited miracle.
She told her husband about the angelic encounter that sounded too good to be true. Manoah asked the Lord for a repeat of that encounter and the Lord granted that request. The angel appeared again.
There are certain things I want us to see in this story.
First, God is interested in confirming his leading/ instructions again and again until we are sure. If God wasn't interested in giving clarity and confirmation, he wouldn't have answered Manoah's prayer.
We see a similar scenario in Acts 13:2 "As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have CALLED THEM". The word "called" is in past tense. That tense has an implication.
Judging from the tense used, it is obvious God had called Paul and Barnabas into the apostolic ministry before that meeting. Probably, they weren't sure or clear about it. So in a meeting of spiritual men, God confirmed publicly to them what he had been telling them in private.
In matters of divine instruction, it is consistent with God's character to confirm his leading and instruction to us for the sake of clarity.
If there are things you perceive in your spirit God might be saying to you but you aren't clear about, feel free to ask for a confirmation.
Second, God is not interested in your confusion but when you have clarity about his leading, he is glorified.
The bible says, "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints" ( 1 Corinthians 14:33).
Anytime you are confused about a particular line of direction, just know that Satan is at work. Rebuke him and ask for clarity.
This is God's promise to you: "I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide" (Psalms 32:8).
