PREACH IT WITH POWER

February 22, 2016 · Lanre Oyeleke · 3 views

1Thes1:5 For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you.

Dr T.L. Osborn of blessed memory went to preach in a country. He was challenged to demonstrate God's power in that country. He had to seek God's face in fasting and prayer, he went back to that country and he manifested the power of God with signs and wonders backing his ministry.

The world won't believe the Jesus we preach if we don't demonstrate his power for them to see. Sweet grammar and nice dressing isn't enough. The gospel is a result producing message that moves with proofs. The Apostles' ministry was confirmed with signs and wonders everywhere they went to preach. According to Acts10:38, the ministry of Jesus was laced with healing and deliverance.

Dearest, you cannot afford to represent the kingdom without the power backing the preaching of the gospel. Evangelism is easy and sweet when the anointing is available. You won't talk too much to convince anybody; in Luke 4, Jesus began to tell them that he was anointed to preach, set the captives free. Heal and to do other things, little wonder why he commanded proofs.

Be a proof-producer.

Action point

I receive grace to preach with power and be a proof-producer In Jesus name. Amen
