Phil3:7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ
A man came to my office on a certain day. He is a full time minister of the gospel. As he said, God told him to abandon his Ph.D program for ministry and he did just as he was commanded. I won't forget several generals in the kingdom that have something worth being proud about but they regarded it as a garbage for the sake of the kingdom.
Your pride is what so many true sons have dumped for the excellency of Christ and his kingdom. You know what it takes for someone that has finished a 7years of study in the field of medicine or even completed Ph.D in a place like Nigeria to dump his certificate for ministry in the village, that's real sacrifice.
Paul the apostle had every reason to be proud because he was well versed in the Jewish law and was trained by Gamaliel a foremost doctor of law but Paul said he considered those things that should have made him proud as 'GARBAGE'. Whatever you're holding on to as an excuse for not obeying the call of God upon your life into purpose is a garbage, dump them and obey.
High fliers in the kingdom like Paul are known to dump their trophies and pride regarding them as GARBAGE.
Father, I let down my pride to obey your will in totality In Jesus name. Amen
