Isaiah40:31, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 NKJV).
STRENGTHENED FOR A LIFE OF SEXUAL PURITY
Often, I have noticed that when a believer fall into sin frequently, the place of fellowship with God is weak. It is also a phenomenon I noticed in my life. Whenever I become cold in prayers and the word, I'll start siding with the devil in my words and character. There's no magic about living a sexually pure life because there are word-based and time tested principles from scriptures. No matter how much of other tips for sexual purity you know and practice, as a believer, the grace and strength you need to practice them and stay pure can only be released in the place of constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He is our enabler for a life of purity.
You cannot stand pure in this perverse generation by your strength. The bible says, "He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. “It is not by strength that one prevails;"(1Sam2:9). To prevail daily over the forces of immorality, you need a different strength that is purely divine not mental,physical or strength of will power alone. How easy is it for the flesh to have an opportunity to express itself when there's an opportunity yet we say "No"? Humanly speaking, it is not easy especially in this perverse generation. The power to say "No" can only come from a source that is celestial.
Apostle Paul said, "For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh"(Phil3:3). That's why no man should boast in his strength or ability. We are strengthened to stand by the most high. Plug into the source of strength for purity in the place of deep fellowship. The man that pants after God sincerely will not pant after the things of flesh especially sexual immorality. Walking with God one day at a time makes sin irritating; no man ever get to that point without a solid altar.
I receive strength to stand in purity. Father, as I fellowship with you on daily basis, let there be an infusion of strength and grace to walk with you daily in Jesus name.
