OPEN UP AND BE ACCOUNTABLE
The power of sexual immorality is in secrecy especially for believers who might be struggling in this area. There's a self deceit of "I'll overcome it alone". That alone is the major reason so many people are wallowing in sexual immorality especially Christian leaders. Spiritual pride wont't allow some brethren open up to those that can help them. I noticed that it is very hard for so many Christians to talk to someone about their struggles. From within, they are eaten up like the stem borer does to plants. The stem borer is an insect that bore holes in stems of plants and suck the vitality of that plant till it becomes weak. Such plants may be standing and good looking for a while but they lack the strength to withstand the wind.
To avoid being eaten up by secret sin of sexual immorality, you need someone in your life you can confide in. I don't mean someone who will mock and gossip you to others. Here, I'm talking about a mature person spiritually. Someone who can pray with you, counsel and hold you accountable. Also, the person should be able to tell you the plain truth( in love) and exercise disciplinary powers at least to some extent. Not someone that will pamper you because he doesn't want to offend you. The burden on the heart of many people is always, "how do I get someone who fits for this"? Very simple! If you pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you, He will recommend one of His own. I have been in that shoes before but after seeking God's face sincerely, He led me to someone.
The devil will always fight against exposing sexual sins because he knows that the power of perpetuity lies in secrecy. Do you know you can conquer lust by exposing it? Often, you'll notice that those who abuse children sexually always threaten their victims not to tell anyone because they understand that as long as the secret is kept, they'll always have their way. That's the old trick of that accursed man. In your quest for lasting victory, prayerfully confide in someone. The day you expose your secret sexual sin, you break its backbone.
I refuse to be hunted, dominated and conquered on the bed of sexual immorality in the name of Jesus. I receive grace to conquer every demonic agent like Delilah sent on a mission to my life in Jesus name. My destiny and glory is preserved in Jesus name.
