FOLLOW WITH WISDOM

Isaiah3:12-'... O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths'.

Sometimes ago in one of our campuses here in South-west Nigeria, a group of believers were led to do strange things that caught the attention of the media. They were led into error by someone they respected as their leader but they gullibly followed him. They were taught that there are recipes of food to eat if they want to hear from heaven. Some of them stopped attending classes&were not serious with exams. Their leader told them that they would buy a bus and tag it 'Acts of the prophets'.

They claim that they will pass because they can make the supernatural work in their favour. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they went into the forest looking for rapture. After several days, they were famished and a local hunter found them. The whole campus shook because it came as a wave of surprise to everyone.

God is against leaders that cause people to err. I want you to be close to your bible so that you can discern the leaders that have erred and lead others to err. Most times, there's just a thin line between the truth&heresy. You need to follow any leader with wisdom. Take your spiritual sieve around with you and sieve out anything you can't confirm from God's word.
