Rom13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
I love the way apostle Paul admonished the Christians in Rome. When he said they should put on Christ, he was talking as if they should be clothed with Christ just like we put on clothes to be seen physically. He was referring to a life whereby Christ can be seen in the lives of believers.
When you put on your clothes, it can't be hidden neither can you put on clothes in the abstract, it is something that can be seen and not hidden. The way to identify a drunk is because of his erratic behaviour and incongruent words likewise a Christian should be recognised because his life is a mirror of the life of Christ.
The vision of all believers should be CHRIST and nothing more. Some desire to be like their human mentor who has his shorrtcomings but I desire Christ and to be like him and to be conform to his image daily. This was Paul's desire when he said 'that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made CONFORMABLE unto his death;'Phil3:10.
He was ready and willing to be conformed such that he would no longer be seen but Christ.
Father, Iet Christ be seen in my life In Jesus Name. Amen
