AVOID A CRASH
I noticed that whenever a vehicle develop fault or it crashes, the first person they interrogate is the driver not the passengers. I have boarded buses that developed mechanical fault severally, I'm yet to see someone accuse a passenger. In the garden of Eden, after man fell into sin, the person God called to accountability was Adam not Eve. The man is the driver of the home. God placed a trust of leadership on him, if anything goes wrong, God would ask him first before the woman. If the home breaks, the man is answerable to God.
Every man should strive to keep the bond of unity in his home. As the driver of your home, things will only go in the direction in which you steer the wheel of your home. You don't vacate your seat for your wife because she's not made to drive the home. Some men have crashed their marriages thinking they can get marital bliss from another woman only to discover that what they were running from is still in the new marriage. If you're thinking of crashing your marriage, think about the adverse effect it would have on your children and generations to come. The effect of divorce on the children may have an adverse effect from generation to generation. Psychologists believe that children from broken homes have a very high tendency to experience same.
You have to decide the kind of father you want to be. God has given you the power to steer the wheel of your marriage in the right direction. That's what we call leadership.Most ladies want to marry a man that can lead. Not all ladies want to marry because they need someone to pay bills, many women are doing that comfortably today without the help of any man. Something within them is crying for true and genuine leadership in the home. Don't forget this, whatever your children become(good or otherwise) your name would be attached to it because they bear your name. They are your representative where you are absent. Same applies to your wife. Protect your name and rise to be a strong leader.
