Luke 1:67 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:NIV
THE MAN WITH PROPHETIC INSIGHT
After the birth of John the Baptist, there was something spectacular that happened when his father was asked to give him a name. He was dumb because he doubted the message given to him during the angelic visitation he had but immediately he wrote his name on a tablet, his tongue became loosed and he began to speak prophetically into the life of John.
If you can find time to read the verses after the opening text, you will notice that most of the things Zechariah said about John were prophetic in nature. He wasn't just blabbing or saying the regular prayer. Zechariah under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost began to speak God's mind about John the Baptist. It would not be hard raising John the Baptist because his destiny had been revealed so the training he would receive would be tailored towards the fulfilment of his destiny.
Fathers must have prophetic insight about their children. God can speak to you about each child and even give you certain instructions on how to raise them. Manoah was a father who cared about the destiny of his son, when the angel appeared to him, he asked a question about how Samson should be raised(Judges13:12). I think all fathers need to ask the same question. Stop confusing your children by imposing career and life path on them. Fathers who do that do not have prophetic insight about their children end up confusing their children. Be a man of the Spirit and get to know God's mind about your children so that you can order them rightly.
Father of all fathers, I receive the grace to stand in my prophetic office as a father In Jesus name. Amen
