THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST
I watched a Christian movie sometimes ago, some people were left behind after the rapture. They ran from the police of the anti Christ but they were caught eventually. They hid in an uncompleted building. They began to share experiences about the event and how it happened. One of those in hiding was a Pastor who shed light on the event from a scriptural perspective. One lady among them said she had never heard about the second coming of Jesus and rapture related events before despite going to church regularly. Her Pastor didn't teach on that subject neither did he hint them about it. When last did you hear about the coming of Jesus? Have you ever heard about the rapture of the church?
I know from my Bible teaching experience that most believers do not have sound biblical knowledge about the happenings of the end time. Some have not even heard much about the rapture because all their pastor preach is the 'God bless me' gospel not the 'get ready' gospel. Failure to preach about this great event and blessed hope of the saints is the reason why some believers are not living in readiness for the coming of the Lord. Some have intentionally excluded the coming of Jesus Christ from their sermons saying 'heaven is not the gain of the believers'. Some misinterpret Eph2:6 by saying the believer is in heaven already just waiting for translation. That scripture only speaks about our position in redemption, it is not a fait accompli.
A day is coming when the trumpet shall sound. The dead in Christ shall rise first and those of us alive shall join them in the air to meet with the Lord(1Thes4:17). What a glorious day shall it be! If this event is not important to Jesus, He would not have spent most of his time teaching and preaching about it. It matters so much to Him. Even some of his parables taught us to be ready for this great day. If you're still living in sin and playing with your eternal home, it is time to repent and change your ways. In clear terms, JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN.
Father, I receive the grace to live ready for the coming of Christ In Jesus name.
