YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

October 15, 2022 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Isaiah49:14 But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. 15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

My senior Pastor told the story of a woman who forgot her child in the church. She attended one of the midweek services and left her child there in the church.

Though it wasn't intentional. Probably her mind was occupied with many cares. She realized her forgetfulness when she got home.

The opening text asked a question about whether a woman can forget her suckling child.

It is possible for a woman to forget her child. Jesus was left behind in the temple at the age of 12. His parents thought he was with them on the journey.

They realised he didn't journey with them on the third day. To forget is human but constant remembrance is exclusive to divinity.

As a reader of this devotional, men may forget you. Even your families may ignore you. Those who show they care about your condition may forget you totally but God cannot forget you.

I'm glad to inform you that God hasn't forgotten you. You are that Zion of God that is written on his palms and engraved on his wall.

Your prayers may seem like they're bouncing back to you or not being heard at all,but how you feel doesn't matter but what God's word has said. If God's word says you're not forgotten, that settles it.

Often, we look at what is happening to others especially their testimonies and the dryness around us to reach a conclusion.

He said you are not forgotten and I'm sure your time will come soon. One thing we fail to understand is that there is an appointed time for individuals.

The absence of major testimonies in your life isn't an indicator that you're forgotten. It simply mean your time hasn't come yet. Wait!

While waiting, He want us to know our real friends, understand Him better and cultivate a deeper fellowship with Him.

I see your tests becoming testimonies and your mess becoming a message. Your deepest pains will be your gain and the glory of God shall be revealed after that story.

You are not forsaken nor forgotten, you are always on His mind and He will attend to your case at the appointed time.

Action point

Father, thank you for having me in mind. I receive grace to wait on you patiently because I know I'm not forgotten In Jesus name. Amen
