TELL OTHERS ABOUT HIM

2 Tim 1:8 So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord... NLT

Years back, something unusual happened in a bus I boarded in Lagos. A man( an Islamic cleric) in that bus taught on the subject of marriage.

I was surprised the subject of marriage became a major discussion in the bus. It was a marriage seminar that held in that bus. People paid rapt attention.

He taught about the different types of people no one should marry. If my memory won't fail me, he sold books and offered to consult and counsel people in his office.

Indirectly, I knew he only used that message to gain the attention of his listeners because he was out there propagating Islam without fear or shame.

At other times, I have met traditionalists in the bus selling their charms and promoting the devil shamelessly. This is common in Lagos.

I'm sure they'll be promoting their beliefs when they meet people one-on-one not only when they're faced with a crowd. They're not ashamed to sell charms.

If traditionalists can be so bold to sell charms, why can't we share Christ with people publicly?

The message of the gospel is the greatest message and that's the need of the hour globally. Jesus is the answer for the world and the myriads of problems the world is facing.

You should not be ashamed to tell your friends, families, neighbours and customers about the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ.

No one loves to break bad news. It takes tact to tell someone about a sad event but no-holds-barred when sharing about moving to a new house, buying a new car or announcing wedding plans.

Sharing such is delightsome. Who doesn't like to hear good news?

The wonders of redemption is much more than those things. No other news beats the message of eternal life, justification, atonement and all that Christ did for us on the cross. Hallelujah!!! It is sweet to tell.

I love that hymn titled "Wonderful Story of love." The first line of the song says, "Wonderful Story of love, tell it to me again." Everyone loves goodnews.

Sinners know they are sinners. What they want to hear is the way out of their sins. The sinner must hear about the price that was paid for his redemption.

Why are you ashamed to tell sinners about the very message that liberated you?

The Apostles of old preached this message everywhere without fear, they were jailed for it and most of them died for this gospel message because they were convinced about it as a message worth sharing.

I want to implore you not to be ashamed of sharing the goodnews of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels."( Luke 9:26).

CONFESSION: Father, I remove every toga of shame from my life. Henceforth, I am a mobile evangelist, I receive the grace to share the gospel wherever I go in Jesus name.
