Luke10:19 Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. NLT
I watched a film that didn't portray the victory of the believer in the light of scripture. In that movie, a pastor conducted deliverance and sent a demon out of a lady.
Later, he came under serious spiritual attack by demoniacal forces. When his condition didn't improve, they took him to a witch doctor. The witch doctor told him he was under attack because of the demon he cast out.
The witch doctor warned him to desist from casting out demons and he appeased the demon on his behalf. That is crass nonsense.
They belittled the power of the cross and made light the believer's authority. Jesus never told us to appease or beg demons. Some folks in the church still believe that whenever they're under attack, they need to appease or beg demons.
That's totally unbiblical. You have authority in the name of Jesus, use it. It is not a strange thing to be attacked. We are in warfront. It is only strange If you don't stand against that attack with the word and prayer.
One of the most unbiblical practice I have seen some Christians exhibit in the place of prayer is to beg God to do what He has given them the power to deal with.
Some think they are sounding humble when they beg God to help cast out a demon. Religious folks don't like it when we talk like this but I'm only echoing what is written.
There's no where in my bible where people beg demons to leave. You need to hear the prayers of some people, you'll see why their prayers are not answered.
The opening text is clear and unambiguous. You have been given the power to trample on serpents and scorpions( referring to Satan and demons) and they shall not hurt you.
I take this scripture as my legal right to deal with devil. Why should I beg a man that my Jesus has defeated and disgraced?
He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross(Colossians 2:14-15 NLT).
The kind of 'respect and honour' some believers give to the devil raises a lot of questions about their salvation. Some persons eulogize demons. In Mark16:17, one of the things Jesus said a believer would do is to cast out demons.
These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages(Mark 16:17 NLT).
I didn't see anywhere in my bible where Christ and the apostles begged a demon. Look at your situation in the face and issue a decree without apology.
Your situation has ears. The devil is afraid of your bold stubborn audacious faith that is expressed through righteous decree.
CONFESSION: I decree and declare, every situation that does not glorify God in my life, disappear and do not return again In Jesus name.
