BOUGHT WITH A PRICE
Our ministry partnered with a missionary working among a tribe that sells young girls to old men for marriage. The girl sold is called "Money wife."
The fathers of those young girls sold into early marriage did so either to get some money to buy alcohol or as a repayment for debt. Some girls were sold as early as 2 years into the hands of cruel husbands.
However, when this missionary began his redemptive assignment, he was able to buy back some of these girls. He paid the price of money to buy them back.
His redemptive assignment was not without a price. At times, he almost paid the price of his own life because his life was threatened.
Your redemption for eternal hell is not free. All the benefits of grace you're enjoying now didn't come cheap. Jesus paid the price for it with His own blood.
Revelations 5:9 says, “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed (meaning purchased) us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation”( Emphasis mine).
The price of blood was paid for your redemption. Why did He go to that extent? Why did he sacrifice His life and spill His blood for your redemption? Love is it.
Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”.
You are loved deeply by God. When the enemy comes to show you your past, condemning and accusing you, remind him about the blood that was used to purchase your redemption.
Satan hates the blood of Jesus Christ.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death ( Revelation 12:10-11 KJV).
Now that you're saved, you don't play with sin because what you got cheaply was paid for with a precious substance- the blood of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 6:20 says, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s".
There's a demand on you to value the blood that bought you and to live in a way that will bring glory to God.
CONFESSION: I am bought with the price of blood. I'm a new man. I'm born again, I'm a new creation. The price paid for my salvation is beyond what money can buy. I live my life to glorify God.
