VICTORY OVER SATANIC ACCUSATION

October 21, 2022 · Lanre Oyeleke · 3 views

Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

I was once a victim of satanic accusation. There was a time in my life I became guilt-ridden years after I gave my life to Christ. The devil played the videos of my forgiven past to me and I felt unsaved.

Feelings are fickle. We walk by faith not by feelings. That period of my life was the worst time ever in my life because I appeared good but guilt and condemnation was eating me up inside.

One of the things that compounded my problem then were wrong teachings and unbiblical books I exposed myself to. The demon of accusation latched on those exposure to torment my heart.

The straw that broke the camel's back was when a brother I respect so much told me that a believer must restitute all past sins. It was then I knew what they called spiritual yoke and burden of the Pharisees.

For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers ( Matthew 23:4).

In the opening text, Satan is referred to as "Accuser of our brethren". One of his dirty duties is to bring accusation against the children of God.

He does this through a demon known as accusing spirit. The accusing spirit is an anti-Christ spirit, because it approaches people with no love, but a tone of condemnation.

This demon speaks condemnation into our hearts. It constantly tells you how much of a failure you are. This spirit tries to make believers feel unworthy of God by reminding them of their inadequacies.

This spirit tears down rather than builds up.
The accusing spirit will manifest in a variety of ways. It can cause accuse a person directly, it can cause them to accuse others around them, or it can accuse God in a person’s mind.

The accusing spirit is an anti-Christ spirit because it deliberately belittles the finished work of Christ on the cross and makes you feel the blood of Jesus isn't enough to cleanse you of your past.

What should you do to overcome?

Believe the word of God about the efficacy of the blood of Jesus to cleanse and wash your sins away once and for all.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace( Eph 1:7).

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood ( Rev 1:5).

You must believe that your sins are not only forgiven but they're forgotten after you confessed and repented. So anytime those past sins come to your rememberance, it can't be God.

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more ( Isaiah 43:25).

And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins”(Hebrews 8:12 NLT).

Believing all these scriptures isn't enough. Whenever the enemy brings accusations against you, talk back to him and rebuke him in the name of Jesus Christ. Do this often.

They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death ( Revelation 12:11 NIV).

But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”(Jude 1:9 NIV).

Now you know what to do when the enemy comes with his accusations. The ball is in your court.
