IN CHRIST REALITIES Pt.3

Ephesians 2:6, And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

SEATED WITH CHRIST- POSITION OF AUTHORITY

I watched a short playlet years back. In that playlet, a brother was tormented by demons in his sleep. Whenever he was awake, he'll cry and shout "demons".

This experience reoccurred several times. After a while, he realized he had authority as a child of God. When those demons returned, he sent them out using his believer's authority.

In redemption, every believer is seated with Christ in heavenly places above principalities and power. That's the place of power and authority.

Some have misinterpreted this to mean that the believer is already in heaven. That's not true. You're still on earth. To be seated with Christ in heavenly places depicts a position of enormous power and authority.

The power available to the believer is enormous. However, power is not useful until delegated. Delegated power is what we call authority. When a demand is placed on power by putting it to use, then it becomes authority.

Demons are no longer superior because where you are is higher than where they are. Jesus didn't say we'll beg demons.
I bleed within when I see Christians who "respect" Satan and demons more than they exercise their authority over him. It is a big shame.

This is what Jesus said about you and me: "These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: THEY WILL CAST OUT DEMONS IN MY NAME, and they will speak in new languages" (Mark 16:17 NLT).

In the new testament, we weren't told that someone was tagged a "deliverance minister". Everyone who knew their place of authority in the early church sent demons packing.

Our generation has given primacy to a selected few we call "deliverance minister". I haven't said God does not anoint people specially for exorcism.

However, a child of God should be able to cast out demons without seeking for the help and support of a deliverance minister here and there. The authority to deal with demons has been given to us all. Hallelujah!!!

Positionally, we are seated in a place of authority over all sickness, diseases and demons.

Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you( Luke 10:19 NLT).

You can look at the devil in the face and say "Get lost". Believers linger in demonic oppression because of ignorance not because Satan is so powerful.

Satan knows this redemptive provision is available to every child of God but he'll ensure to downplay these truths so that we can remain in bondage.

In Christ, you have authority to deal with Satan and his cohorts. He is a defeated foe trying to appear as the all-powerful. On the cross, his backbone was broken and Christ got the victory for us.

In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross( Colossians 2:15 NLT).

When he arose, he said, "...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth"(Matthew 28:18 KJV). We are partakers of that power. It is available to us.

Paul, in his prayer for the Ephesian believers said: "the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the EXCEEDING GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TO US-WARD WHO BELIEVE, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places"(Ephesians 1:18‭-‬20 KJV).

The power available to us as believers is exceedingly great. Use your authority in Christ.
