I have been part of prayer gatherings where ministers offer several prayers asking for certain results to be produced in their ministries especially when they see what is happening in another ministry. They just want to replicate the same result.

While it is right to desire good things happening to others, we must not know that we cannot replicate every result we see out there. The reason is because certain things we see happening in the life and ministry of others are in line with the plan and purpose of God for their lives.

For instance, I have always maintained a position that not all ministers are destined to have a mega church. Not everyone will lead a church of five million with numerous network of branches. Not everyone will have hundred thousand in attendance every sunday. We all will not build large cathedrals. It is time all pastors come to terms with this truth

God's reward is not necessarily for those who have it big, it is for those who are faithful even in little.

For some who have it big by election of grace, it is the perfect will of God. Now, it will be wrong of another person to invest prayer and fasting trying to achieve these things because it is not God's will for them. This is one reason some pray and do not get result. They are asking for things that are not in line with God's plan and purpose for their lives.

Some have wearied themselves praying on the mountain because they want to produce certain types of result in ministry. They focus on what their neighbour is doing at the expense of what the Lord want them to do so they pray and fast till life is almost leaving them. That is what I call wrong prayer investment.

There are great things I see other ministers doing in ministry that I dare not attempt. No matter how hard I pray, I will not achieve it simply because it is not God's will for me. Praying and fasting to be like others is a recipe for frustration and failure.

There is a unique plan of God for your life and ministry. There are special things God want you to achieve in the line of your calling. It may not be big but it will be impactful.  If you invest prayer, fasting and faith along that line, you will achieve result effortlessly.
