Jesus taught about planning in the bible. He also taught against anxiety and why we shouldn't be anxious about the things of life (Matthew 6:27). However, some have misconstrued planning to mean anxiety whereas they are not the same.
When some Christians hear that word 'planning', they sound religious almost immediately and you'll hear quotations like: 'Do not be anxious about tomorrow'. Oh! so wrong. Planning is not a sin.
Planning is a careful and thoughtful projection with a goal in-view. It involves a detailed process on how set goals will be achieved. One of the secrets of maximizing your stay here on earth is to plan your life within the confines of God's will for your life.
As a believer, you must discover your God-given purpose and plan your life within the confines of the revealed will of God for your life. I must also say that there are things God may not necessarily instruct you to do but you must take initiative to do them all the same.
God did not create you as a robot. There are certain decisions that are exclusively his right If we allow Him but there are other things that He expects us to decide on using our initiative.
For example, God may not instruct you to invest in profitable business or build your house but it is not a bad idea to have a solid plan on how to invest in those areas for better living.
If you fail to plan, indirectly it mean you have assigned someone else to plan your life. At every point in life, you'll be part pf another's plan indirectly. Those who don't have a plan for life will be used as a stepping stone by those who have clear-cut plans.
