William Branham stood out among the evangelists and prophets used by God during the voice of healing days in America. He had no formal education but he operated in the prophetic accurately and strangely in the miraculous.
His left hand vibrated to diagnose diseases and he often would tell what people were thinking in their hearts by the Spirit of God. His anointing was raw and unusual.
On a certain occasion during his ministry, people heard a voice that spoke from heaven like it happened at the baptism of Jesus Christ.
He wasn't a good teacher or preacher of the word. Also, his education was limited. In fact, report says he had no formal education. He had people who taught the word but his area of strength was what we call power ministration.
Painfully, he stepped out of his area of ministry grace and strength and he decided to start teaching. He probably saw that teachers were gaining some recognition, instead of him to maintain his ministry alignment with teachers like Gordon Lindsay, he delved into the teaching ministry that he wasn't called to and made a mess of bible doctrines.
One of his errors was that Eve had sex with the serpent. Till date, many still believe the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden was figurative of sexual intercourse. William Branham started that heresy because he deviated from his true calling.
His heretic movement became great all over America and beyond. He was warned but he did not listen. He died a tragic death. It was from his story I knew the life a minister can be cut short If he steps out of his area of calling.
I see that same error today in ministry. Someone who is a core teacher trying to operate as a prophet while evangelists who should be on the field are pioneering churches they don't have the capacity to pastor. Some are pastoring churches God did not send them to pastor because he wants them to operate as a para church ministry.
Dear minister, discover your area of strength and calling in ministry and stay there. Stop trying to copy what you're not cut-out for neither should you come under pressure to operate in a path of ministry that is not yours.
One of the reasons why we have many fake prophets today is because quite a number of those claiming to be prophets aren't called into that office. Some are teachers trying to operate in the prophetic. They generate "thus saith the Lord" from suspicion and permutations.
The moment you leave your path in ministry, you'll lose your shine and originality. That may lead to your death and the death of your ministry. Stay on your lane.
PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace to stay on my path in ministry faithfully without looking back in Jesus name.
