IT SHOULD NOT BE ABOUT RICE AND CHICKEN
Christmas is the most popular holiday season in the world especially in places where it is celebrated. The season comes with so much awareness and publicity. The blind can see the decorations everywhere and the deaf can hear the jingling bells. Unfortunately, most Christians are not taking advantage of its popularity to preach Christ.
Among those who celebrate Christmas, most have reduced the celebration to eating of rice and chicken only instead of using the season to spread the knowledge of Christ and to emphasize on the purpose of his birth.
Unbelievers mostly see the celebration of Christmas as rice and chicken time. Those we should be preaching Christ to are now seeking to eat our rice and chicken( which is not all that bad) yet we are not taking advantage of that to share our faith with them.They can eat rice and go to hell.
Since Christ is in Christmas, I think it should be a season where we'll evangelize radically and spread the knowledge of his glory everywhere.
I am not against cooking special rice and chicken this season. However, we can do better by preaching Jesus since he is the reason for the season. This is the season of reaching out to sinners not a time to fill our bellies with meat that will perish.
