*HAS HE TRULY BLESSED YOU*?

Galatians 6:6 *Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them*. NLT

Today is the last sunday this year. I want to assume you have been regular in church for the past 52 sundays and during mid week services. Even If you missed some services, I want to believe God imparted you through your pastor one way or the other.

Also, there are other preachers through whom God blessed you. Those whose articles you read from time to time, those that hold hands to pray with you in times of trouble and check on your progress. Further, you know that man(preacher) from whom you draw counsel in time of need.

If you write your story this year, you know those ministers of the gospel that cannot be excluded because they stood by you at all times. If all these describes you, I have a question for you, what have you given to them to show you truly honour them for all they represent in your life?

I don't want you to be an ungrateful soul neither should you be counted among those that use pastors and dump them. Some people are good at calling on pastors for emergencies but they have never invited them for launch yet they spend lavishly on mundane things and on people that have not contributed anything to their progress.

The people who need pastors for one thing or the other are many compared to those giving back to pastors. What many don't know is that genuine pastors discharge the duties of their ministry not because they don't have their personal challenges but because they are duty bound to discharge the duties of their ministries even when it hurts.

It hurts the most when those pastors have laboured on in prayers and the word neglect them after receiving their breakthroughs. They take the testimony and the benefits to another place where no one laboured on them probably because it is a popular platform. It pains every pastor. That is one thing that leaves deep pains in the heart of every pastor.

You have not truly honoured your pastor or that preacher until you bless him lavishly according to your capacity. I am stressing on the word lavishly. A man of God is not one to be given left overs or pittance. There is no honour in that. Tell the world I said so.

Today being the last sunday of this year, I want you to package a gift for that preacher of the gospel who has blessed you this year. I don't want you to be counted among ungrateful people. It is biblical to do so.

The bible says, "Elders who do their work well should be respected and paid well, especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching. [18] For the Scripture says, “You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain.” And in another place, “Those who work deserve their pay!” (1 Timothy 5:17-18 NLT).

This is the word of God and not mine. Will you obey?

Action Point:

Ask your pastor or that preacher that has blessed you for his account details. Before the year is over, send something good to him/her. I am sure you will do this.
