In my adult life, I have witnessed people fall for ponzi schemes that promises quick returns. I have seen ministers and Christians who should know better fall for get-rich-quick schemes. Unfortunately, it appears to me that people don't learn because victims of ponzi keeps falling for it over and over.
Partly, greed is the reason people engage in ponzi schemes because they want to make it big and quick but another factor that fuels this is ignorance about wealth creation. The pattern/ principle for wealth creation is thesame all over the world, the difference is only in the method used based on environmental peculiarities. Anyone who understand the principle of wealth creation will produce/ make wealth anywhere in the world given the right condition.
True wealth is built gradually over time not suddenly. There is no legitimate wealthy person on earth who made it big just in one day or over a short period of time. It is a steady rise not a sudden attainment.
The opening text tells us two things that makes a man wealthy legitimately: good planning and hardwork. Wealth creation is a product of good planning not something accidental or a fluke of nature. Those who don't have plans for making wealth never attain it because it requires a great deal of intentionality.
The plan you have for wealth creation will reflect in the choices you are making about your finances. If you don't have plans to give value in exchange for money, you cannot be wealthy. Every genuine wealthy man is giving value to people in exchange for money. That is, he is solving problems for people in exchange for money.
Under good planning comes sound money management skills. Ability to mange money wisely and be free from frivolous spendings is one of the hallmarks of those who are genuinely wealthy. True wealth is made and sustained only by those who have mastered the art of managing and multiplying money.
The second thing is hardwork. Some hate to hear this word because they think it is the same as hard labour. No it is not. Today, that word has been replaced with smart work but for me, it is the same. The hardness in work is not referring to complexity but consistency in doing the right thing and that is akin to being smart. Under no circumstance should we think we can make wealth without work.
The channel through which wealth comes is the channel of work not ponzi scheme. A wise person who understand wealth creation will ask what ponzi money is being used for. The organizers have no traceable investment or value they are adding so such scheme is bound to fail. That is why ponzi don't last for long. It is not traceable to any work that adds value.
