I watched a powerful christian movie titled "Stepping Into Maggie's Shoes". I recommend the movie to everyone especially ministers. The movie is about a lady who had psychosis and bipolar disorder whom God used to restore her husband who derailed from his ministry due to greed&sexual immorality despite knowing God's will for his life from the onset.
At the beginning of his ministry, he served under an uneducated man as an interpreter in a village. Everyone saw God's hand upon him. The man's ministry grew but he felt he used without getting enough benefits. Pushed by his first wife who later died, they decided to pioneer their church after a rich woman promised to set him up which she did but he fell into sexual immorality with her. That was how he descended deeply into adultery in strange dimensions.
Later, after suffering from the consequences of his wayward life and misdirection, he decided to close down the church he pioneered in Lagos and he returned to his father in the Lord in the village whom he served under as an interpreter and assistant pastor. A statement stood out for me when he returned: "It is better to be an Aaron than to be a Moses". He became fulfilled and restored after he served under his spiritual father as an assistant pastor.
In destiny, everyone have a place. God has called some to be number one but he has also called some to be number two or three. Meaning that some are called to pioneer while some others are called to assist those that are pioneers. Satan's deception for assistants comes when they flourish under a leader who gives them platform and they start thinking it is a sign they are fit to stand alone.
Some have thought this way and ran out of God's plan. Is that not the reason for the numerous churches we have today? Many churches were founded by men but not founded by God. When a man tries to outrun God in his plan and programmes, he may suffer accident in destiny.
One reason some are struggling perpetually is because they are not where they ought to be. Some have been hit with strange arrows of immorality, untimely death, sickness and failure because they left where they had covering and exposed themselves to the fiery darts of the evil one.
One thing I have always known is that when a man is in God's will, he enjoys a great measure of protection and preservation from the enemy's attack but when he is out, he becomes exposed. Some unnecessary battles are fought by men who are not in their place in destiny.
I am appealing that you find your place in destiny. It may be unpopular and many may see you as being under utilized where you are but stay in God's will for your life. That's where you will find peace and joy.
