The realm of the spirit has a system of operation that is unique and peculiar. One may think that an unseen realm is without laws and principles but it will surprise you to know that they are more organized and principled.
Previously, we talked about the power of the spoken word and faith as some of the laws of operation in that realm. I want us to examine another law that is vital and protective yet ignored by some or say people do not see as important in spiritual warfare.
The law of purity is a vital operational law in the realm of the spirit.
The opening text says, "When people’s lives please the LORD, even their enemies are at peace with them". That scripture is deep. It expresses a general truth that we must not ignore.
By reason of how we live our lives, Satan knows those that are threading on dangerous grounds. He knows there's a boundary line between the kingdoms of light and darkness but there are people who cross the line through careless living. They take sides with the devil in character and conduct thereby opening the door for demonic attacks.
I know a man who was blessed and flourishing years back. The moment he began philandering, he entered into a serious crisis that put his wife and children in trouble. One of the ladies he messed around with confessed in a deliverance session that he will find it hard to breakthrough in life. Ever since, its been a life of struggle for him. He broke the law of purity.
Holiness is protective. When God says we shouldn't do a thing, it is not because of Him, it is for our good. Aside going to hell, the commandments of God are for our benefit and profiting on earth.
God knew before hand that the enemy will want to lay claims on his right to control the affairs of people and afflict them on account of how they live their lives, that's why He warned us ahead through His word. When you live a life that is pleasing to God, Satan knows there's a hedge of protection around you.
He testified to that in the case of Job saying, "Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? HAST NOT THOU MADE AN HEDGE ABOUT him and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land" (Job 1:9-10 KJV). Job would have remained unscathed save that God gave Satan the permission.
Don't play around anyhow. How you live your life is a crucial weapon of warfare. It will either protect you from the enemy or expose you to Satan's attacks. There's power in purity.
