I watched a Christian movie by EVOM where a young man struggled to make a headway in life. He was jobless and indebted though a Christian.
Having met with disappointment several times, he prayed wholeheartedly and the Lord revealed a demonic personality that has been taking record of all negative words he spoke and the ones spoken to him.
Those words were used against him so that he'll remain stagnant in life. If you say that is a movie, I previously hinted that my travel partner in one of our mission trips told his friend that he may not return to Nigeria.
It was in the heat of our ordeal his mother told me what he told his friend. It almost happened as declared If not for God's mercy that prevailed. Is there anyone who still doubt the power of the spoken word?
In the realm of the spirit, spoken word is one of the tools for getting results.
God had the picture of a beautiful heaven and earth in mind but these weren't created until He spoke them into existence. That's why creation account has phrases like "God said".
Paul further shared with us in Romans 4:17 how God made something out of nothing through the spoken word: "as it is written: “I have made thee a father of many nations”, in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead and calleth those things which are not, as though they were".
In the spirit realm, as far as getting results is concerned, the spoken word is the major trading currency. Those that practice animism do same. They'll make incantations to send demons on errand. Without the spoken words, demons won't take instruction.
What incantations are to animists is what the declaration of God's word is to us. They make incantations to activate demons and get them to work but we activate the ministry of angels when we declare God's word .
The Psalmist says, "Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word" (Psalm103:20). Did you notice that angels act on God's word of command? Yes they do.
God's angels will not work in your favour If your words oppose God's word. Why? They respond to the command of his word not mere wishful thinking. The spoken word of God activates angels to work on our behalf.
Anywhere the word of God is declared, the ministry of angels is activated.
Hebrews 1:14 says, "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation"?
In line with the scripture above, angels are servants to believers not beings to be worshipped.
Just as God's angels act on your words so do demons because the spoken word is the trading currency in that realm.
What are you saying about your life? Your mouth should be filled with what God's word say about your life not what you feel. Your life will always go in the direction of your words.
In that realm, words are trading currency. They're waiting for the next word you'll say to determine the line of action. Don't speak careless and vain words.
To show how important words are, in Matthew 12:36, Jesus says, "But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken".
