March 30th, 2026. THE DOCTRINE OF JUSTIFICATION. Pt.13

March 30, 2026 · Lanre Oyeleke · 6 views

Romans5:1 *Therefore, since we have been JUSTIFIED through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ*.

THE GUARANTEE OF JUSTIFICATION

There are different schools of thought/ theories on the resurrection of Jesus. Ranging from the “stolen body theory” proposed by the Jewish religious leaders in Matthew’s gospel to the “swoon theory” advanced by the 19th-century critic Friedrich Schleiermacher.

Bible critics over the years have stopped at nothing to disproof the resurrection of Christ. They have advanced funny theories and the most laughable of them is the "hallucination theory". Here, they're claiming that the whole resurrection thing was a product of the disciples' hallucinations.

Accepting these evil theories is dangerous and inimical to the faith because *resurrection is the guarantee of justification*.

In Romans4:25(NIV), Apostle Paul says, *"He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification*". Hallelujah!!! Resurrection of Christ is the visible proof that Christ had done the needful and that He had fought and won the battle against Satan and the hordes of hell. It is also a sign that He had finished the work of our redemption.

If God was not satisfied with the work of Christ in the grave, He wouldn't have raised him from the dead but Christ met all requirements and God raised him from the dead: *"But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him*"(Acts2:24).

If Christ had not risen from the dead, justification would have been impossible but blessed be God, Christ arose from the dead. Hallelujah!!!

*Ressurection is the guarantee of justification*.

We need to celebrate the resurrection of Christ always not only during Easter. If Christ had not risen, there would be no Christianity. What gives us the boldness to preach and witness around is the reality of Christ's resurrection. That resurrection power is the force behind the supernatural we experience in our meetings.

Apostle Paul says, *"And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless*"(1Cor15:14). When next the devil comes around making you doubt your justification, let him know that your justification is not a matter of "maybe or maybe not", it is guaranteed and settled because Christ resurrected. Hallelujah!!!

Action point

I believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, my justification is guaranteed. I have faith in God and in the finished work of Christ. I am justified freely by grace, I am saved. I have peace with God, I am justified. I have peace with God, Christ has reconciled me to God. The father is not holding my past against me because Christ paid for it. His blood washed me now I'm saved. I refuse to reason with the devil, I refuse to listen to my feelings, I have peace with God, I am saved. Hallelujah!!!
