THE DOCTRINE OF JUSTIFICATION. Pt.9

March 26, 2026 ยท Lanre Oyeleke

Romans5:1 *Therefore, since we have been JUSTIFIED through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ*.

THE AUTHOR OF JUSTIFICATION

There is no invention without an inventor. Whatever idea or concept that is created has a creator. Likewise the subject of justification. We are discussing justification today because someone authored it. The believer's justification didn't fall from the skies. It is not an afterthought neither is it my invention. I didn't just wake up one morning shouting "Justification". It is not the doctrinal concept of any church or pastor. GOD IS THE AUTHOR OF JUSTIFICATION. How did I know this? I found it in my bible: "Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies" (Romans 8:33 NIV). Hallelujah!!! It is God who justifies. The grace of God is amazing. When God planned salvation, He made plans for something full and free for the vilest sinner who believes. He foresaw that nothing else could help man out of the enemy's accusations so He made provision for justification. Picture a court room with a criminal standing trial. Everyone is expecting the judge to sentence to him to life imprisonment or death but all of a sudden, he pronounced him innocent and righteous despite evidences confirming the alleged crimes. This is the picture of justification and what happens to the sinner that comes to Christ. He is declared innocent of charges and imputed with the righteousness of Christ. In the natural, that's a travesty of justice but in God's judicial prerogative, He chose to help the sinner this way as long as he put his faith in Christ: "However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness"(Romans 4:5 NIV). Justifcation may look arbitrary and unjust to you but it is not because someone paid the price. If Christ had not paid the price for our justification, it would be unjust and unrighteous for God to declare a sinner innocent and righteous. Since Christ paid for it, God was bound to honour the sacrifice of Christ by justifying the sinner who comes through Christ: "he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus"(Romans 3:26 NIV). Now that you're saved, know that your justification is from God himself and not any man. Stay away from guilt and toxic environments that puts you in remembrance of your unholy past. Even if you were a thief, prostitute or murderer before coming to Christ, now you're in Christ, you are Justified.
Action point

. I have peace with God, I am justified. I have peace with God, Christ has reconciled me to God. The father is not holding my past against me because Christ paid for it. His blood washed me now I'm saved. I refuse to reason with the devil, I refuse to listen to my feelings, I have peace with God, I am saved. Hallelujah!!!
