The story of my experience with COVID after the lockdown is known to most of my ardent readers. I and the young man that traveled with me to Ghana contracted COVID.
On one of the days when the battle was fierce especially over the health of my partner who could barely walk, I heard a voice saying "There's a battle in the heavenliess". That didn't make much sense to me but that was a period my prayer time was around 4-5 hours almost daily because death loomed over the young man I took to the field.
I also engaged the brethren back home especially my local church and other parts of the world to enter into a covenant of prayer with me. It was clear the devil had an agenda to take the life of that young man so as to rubbish my ministry. Satan kept telling the young man would die and I will go to jail when I return to Nigeria.
During the heat of our ordeal, his mother told me that he told his friend that he may not return to Nigeria. That word set in motion a spiritual law against him. Satan held on to it to fight him. I'll talk about the power of words and its usefulness in the spirit realm much later.
After hearing the voice that told me there was a battle in the heavenlies, I knew there was a serious engagement going on in the spirit realm. Later, I heard another voice saying, "Prayers have been offered". Thank God for victory over death.
When I returned home, I was told that my church prayed fervently the day I sent a message home notifying them about our request for ambulance service. It was a sunday morning. The prayer of the saints sparked a battle in the spirit realm when death and destruction was coming to where we were. Hallelujah! We won.
I remember the vision a man of God saw. He saw an angel fighting while he was praying but as soon as he stopped praying, the angel stopped. Don't joke with soul- hot prayers. Prayers activate angels to do battle on our behalf.
In the realm of the spirit, there are two opposing forces engaging in warfare over the souls of men. Satan is working tirelessly over nations to shed blood and waste lives. When you hear of wars, it reflects a concluded engagement in that realm. Demonic angels are behind such happenings.
We may not understand this fully until God open our eyes to see things they way they are. God is also not sleeping over the affairs of men but God cannot stop the devil's agenda fully without man's involvement.
Satan is the god of this world according to 2Corinyhians 4:4 because Adam gave his God-given dominion to him. He committed a treason against his own government. He had the legal right to do so but not a moral right.
In that case, God need men who through prayers and intercession will engage Him in the ongoing warfare in the spirit realm. There are things God will do without your prayers and mine but there so many other things He won't do until we pray.
The good thing about the spirit realm is that we can influence the operations in that realm through prayer&intercession. That is one of the rules of engagement. Old timers understand this so well.
