Sometime ago, while on the mission field in Ghana, we heard about a terrorist attack in a military barrack in a West African country that shares borders with Nigeria. That attack took many lives.
During our discussion about the incident, a retired military man in our company said, "It happened as a result of intelligence failure", just paraphrasing.That got me thinking.
In spiritual warfare, the same principle applies. When spiritual battles persist despite fasting and prayer, it might be a pointer to spiritual intelligence failure. Most times, having spiritual intelligence will save us from needless battles. It is both curative and preventive.
Kenneth E. Hagin of blessed memory shared his experience about casting out a demon but nothing happened. After praying for a long time without result, he began to ask God for a revelation.
He counseled that when faced with tough situations that seems unchanging, one should enquire from the Lord on the way out. That's a display of spiritual intelligence.
*Spiritual intelligence is simply knowing by the Spirit what to do per time to achieve victory over the onslaught of the enemy. Sometimes, the application of spiritual intelligence appears unconventional but it will not contradict God's word*.
I know a family that experienced several miscarriages. After praying and enquiries, the Lord told them to remove an aesthetic object placed on their t.v. Someone gave it to them as a wedding gift but it was charmed. When they removed it, they started making babies. That's spiritual intelligence at work.
For instance, in 2 Chronicles 20, God told Jehoshpahat to get minstrel and musicians to the battle front to face a coalition of armies. Who does that? Who goes to war with musical instruments but he obeyed and won.
I have seen a situation where forgiveness solved the mental illness of a young lad whose mum snatched another person's husband. Anytime I prayed for this boy, he was fine but he suffered a relapse in my absence. That problem was solved by her step mother whom her mum displaced.
A missionary had a dream about one of his associates on the field. Not long after, he died. When he narrated the dream to me, he said, "We are learning. If I had known the dreamt meant death, I would have prayed"( paraphrasing).
Those that are spiritually intelligent do not ignore dreams&spiritual signals. They attack it with God's word and faith. Don't be a victim of the enemy's onslaught.
Have you prayed, fasted and done all you know to do about a situation in your life but no solution? Ask the Lord to show you the way out. The instruction received is the spiritual intelligence you need to overcome.
Father, reveal to me the way out of (...mention case) in Jesus name.
