THE DOCTRINE OF JUSTIFICATION. Pt.10

March 27, 2026 · Lanre Oyeleke

Romans5:1 *Therefore, since we have been JUSTIFIED through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ*.

THE PRINCIPLE OF JUSTIFICATION

Behind every act of God, there is a principle. Justification is not exempted in this. One might ask what the principle behind justification is. The answer is summarized in one word "Grace". The principle of justification is grace. This means that we are justified not because of our good works or behaviour. It is purely an act of grace. We did nothing to deserve it. Apostle Paul confirmed this in Romans 3:24 saying, "and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus". Hallelujah!!! The enemy has tried to pervert this over the years by introducing do's and dont's yet they do not suffice in making man justified before God. GRACE, a word misunderstood by many yet so powerful and deep. A word some hate to preach on yet without it salvation is impossible. A word some also use to indulge in sin not knowing in it lies the power to overcome sin(Titus2:11-12). If justification involves works, that is doing things, following a set of rules and rituals and legal codes, it is no longer grace but works. Our salvation wouldn't have been possible if not for grace. Paul said, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8 NIV). A graceless salvation is a useless salvation. Religion is trying to make up rules and legal codes for men to be justified but Christ has brought justification to us freely by His grace: "so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life"(Titus 3:7 NIV). Hallelujah!!! When next you meet a sinner who is burdened with the load of sin, talk to him/ her about the grace of God that justifies. Sometimes, we don't win souls because we preach the wrong stuff to them. An average unbeliever who is religious is in bondage to rituals of religion because he's seeking salvation and justification. A simple explanation on how Christ justifies by grace can release him from the bondage of religion and bring him into the glorious liberty of sons. CONFESSION: I am justified freely by grace, I am saved. I have peace with God, I am justified. I have peace with God, Christ has reconciled me to God. The father is not holding my past against me because Christ paid for it. His blood washed me now I'm saved. I refuse to reason with the devil, I refuse to listen to my feelings, I have peace with God, I am saved. Hallelujah!!! Kindly join our channel: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb7BrpaHltY1b10HTQ2F
