Acts4:31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.
When I was around the age of six, something remarkable happened in the village church we were attending. We were in a vigil and a word of prophecy came through one of the women in the meeting. That woman was like a seer in the church. There were about two of them who operated in that dimension. Though I cannot remember the exact content of the prophecy but one thing that happened was that we prayed fervently and a popular demonized tree in our village fell while we were praying.
The name of the area where that tree was located is called 'idi Ogun'. 'Ogun' is a local deity among Yoruba people of West Africa. He is the god of iron. However, the tree where Ogun worshippers gather fell because of the presence of a praying church. My point here is that there is power when the church is a praying church. This generation is yet to see the exploits wrought through united prayers of the church. The church of Jesus must be a praying church not an entertainment ground. The early church prayed and the whole place shook, can that be said of our churches today?
The end time revival cannot happen until there are praying churches. Jesus said,... "My house shall be called the house of prayer"(Matt21:13). The devil is not afraid when we organize welfare programmes and music concerts but he doesn't like to hear God's people gather to pray for revival. Our community need just one praying church. Community level warfare cannot be done by an individual no matter how prayerful. The church must be united in prayers so that we can shake our communities, sack demons and birth revival.
Father, baptize every church with the Spirit of prayer and supplication in Jesus name.
