Psalms32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
PROPHETIC CONFIRMATION AND INSTRUCTION(B)
After we gave birth to our first baby, my wife did family planning as agreed. Our intention was to space our children by 2-3 years. One day, my elder sister abroad called to tell me what her Pastor told her in church about my wife. She said God revealed to her Pastor that my wife was pregnant and that we should pray about certain things. I began to laugh and in my heart, I despised that word of knowledge. I told my sister that my wife was on family planning and we were told that the type she opted for was about the safest. When I told my wife what my sister said, we both laughed about it. Besides, our first baby was about 8months then.
Weeks after we received the message, my wife told me the unthinkable. She said she didn't see her menses. I told her to go for a test. The result showed that she was six weeks pregnant. Huuh! She cried and felt bad. Then I asked God for forgiveness for despising his servant. Immediately,I reported to my sister. Why did I tell you this story? I have always believed that the only thing a prophet should do is to confirm what God already told us. That was how I was taught but I was wrong. I want to let you know that no matter how spiritual you are, you cannot know everything about your life because we are not sensitive all the time. Sometimes, as a form of rescue, God may send a word to you through his servant.
In as much as we are not meant to run after prophets for "thus saith the Lord", God in his infinite wisdom can send his servant to us to give us an instruction that is needful at that point in time. If it is not so, then we would be limiting the operations of the gift of word of knowledge, word of wisdom, prophecy(foretelling dimension)&the office of the prophet. I know our problem is because of the counterfeits in town but I want you to know that fake exist because there is original. If God sends a word to you through someone ( I didn't say if you go seeking for "thus saith the Lord"),your duty is to take your time to pray, fast and check how it aligns with the scriptures until light burst forth in your spirit.
CONFESSION: Father, I thank you because you did not want me to be left in the dark on any matte. I receive the grace to be sensitive and discerning so that I can know when you are speaking to me, in Jesus name.
