I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES

Acts 2:22 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know

While in post graduate hostel years back, we were returning from our weekly bible study when we stumbled on a scene around our hostel. I was curious to know what happened because most of the guys in the hostel were speaking indirectly about the incident that happened. I heard a statement like "someone's charger is stolen". I felt theft of an ordinary phone charger shouldn't have caused such a scene. I probed further to know what happened. Then, someone told me that a bike man took the penis of guy through diabolic means. I was told the guy had been kept with the school guard. An unusual faith came upon me, I went to the guards and I demanded to pray for the young man. I saw a lady looking distressed and pacing around the victim. I demanded to see his penis to understand what happened because I've heard about such happening several times but haven't witnessed such before. I noticed a shrunk penis, smaller than the normal size. Too tiny for a grown adult.

I prayed for him in the name of Jesus Christ and l told him to have faith. I left him with the guards. Minutes after I returned to the hostel, there was jubilation in the air. News got to me that his penis had been restored. Now, that's a miracle not gimmick. I didn't do it, Jesus did it. A miracle is a divine intervention in human affairs. There's a school of thought that says the days of miracles are over because it ended with the Apostles of Christ. Well, the bible didn't say so. The Jesus that worked through them to perform those miracles we read about is still alive. The bible says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."( Heb13:8). It implies that the miracles Jesus performed yesterday or what we read about Him in the scriptures can still happen today. Hallelujah!!! If you don't believe in miracles, you will not receive it. Some think all miracles are fake, not all miracles are fake or staged.

For with God nothing shall be impossible.( Luke1:37). With man, all impossibilities will remain as they are but when we look up to God, there shall be a turn around. If you want to experience the miraculous, never see man or man-made methods as the miracle worker. Most believers often jump from meetings to meetings and from meetings to mountains in search of a miracle either because of what they heard about the preacher or the program. Quite a number still return without results. Some will leave their church saying, "nothing is happening there, I want to be in a church where it is happening". That's a case of seeking the gift without the giver. You will not receive any miracle from God if you look up to man. The scriptures say, "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;..."(Heb12:2). I see a growing trend among believers. They've tied their miracles to specific programs and men because of strong publicity especially social media appeal. That's pure response to emotions not conviction. The moment they hear of another "happening" place, they'll migrate. That's why it is not biblical to use miracle advert as a bait to draw men. Jesus never did. Do you know that you can experience miracles right in your room as you fellowship with God? Yes you can. Faith in God is all that matters. As from today, exercise simple faith in God's word and you'll see God at work in your life.
