Psalms 71:4 My God, rescue me from the power of the wicked, from the clutches of cruel oppressors (NLT).
Years back, I was poisoned by our house help. I was not the only victim. My dad, mum, younger sister and our driver were victims as well.
This same house help fed my younger brother with kerosene inside toilet. He was a suckling infant using feeding bottle at that time.
Though the medics came to the rescue but it was God's miraculous power that delivered us. Imagine the attention we would have gotten from the press had we all died.
This lady is innocent in looks but she's wickedness personified. Why did she poison us? What was our offence? Why did she want to wipe everyone out? What will she gain by taking our lives?
Dearest, I do not want you to be naive. There are wicked men roaming around. Sometimes, they are as close as your next thought.
In as much as I do not teach people to be enemy-conscious yet I don't encourage naivety in matters of spiritual warfare. Every carrier of great destinies have oppositions even physically.
Years back, If they told me someone will take my name to a diviner or false prophet, I wouldn't believe not until the day a sister confessed that she took my name and others somewhere to check somethings.
The Psalmist knew the reality of wickedness and the wicked. He cried saying, "Have respect unto the covenant: For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty (Psalm 74:20 KJV).
Paul, the great apostle of new creation realities solicited for prayers as regards this same issue saying, *"Finally, brethren, pray for us,...and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith(2 Thessalonians 3:1-2 KJV).
I saw something in that scripture. Wicked men are unreasonable. Satan has filled the heart of some to do only evil.
What's God's promise to you? In Psalms 125:3, the bible says, “For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity”.
However, the righteous who doesn't know and appropriate his right and privileges in the word will be a victim of the wicked. I have seen this happen to God's people severally.
If you have been under the siege of the wicked, the Lord shall deliver you If you cry to him for deliverance.
Father, deliver me from wicked men and their wickedness in Jesus name.
