Revelation 2:22 “Therefore, I will throw her on a bed of suffering, and those who commit adultery with her will suffer greatly unless they repent and turn away from her evil deeds ( NLT).
I was privileged to minister deliverance to a young lady, a teenager. She attended a program with her guardian and she began to manifest for days after the programme.
When I met her, she was acting funny as demon oppressed people do when under the power. Her guardian told me what happened. As I prayed for her in the name of Jesus Christ, she manifested more.
Often when I cast out demons, I don't bother asking for names and details because it is not a pattern to follow. Demons can lie when you ask them questions( Jn 8:44) but on this occasion, I asked questions because I perceived I was dealing with a very strange spirit.
When I asked the demon what the name was, she replied saying "spirit of Jezebel". After, I asked what her mission was, she said 'to destroy her'. In all my years of ministry, praying for people, I don't engage demons but I believe God led me to ask questions on this occasion. At least, Jesus did when he ministered to the mad man at Gadara ( Mark 5).
The last straw that broke the camel's back was when I asked how she got into her. Guess what she said? The answer I got was simple, "through sex". That shook me. My mind raced far. I thought aboout many who are deeply engaged in sexual immorality. They have become a home for this demon.
Do you know Jezebel in the bible? Read about her in first Kings 18. Jezebel, the wife of Ahab was associated with idolatry, murder and sexual immorality.
In the new testament, she was also symbolic of high level sexual promiscuity and demonic operations. God had to warn the church in Thyatira against the influence of Jezebel.
“But I have this complaint against you. You are permitting that woman—that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet—to lead my servants astray. She teaches them to commit sexual sin and to eat food offered to idols ( Revelation 2:20 NLT). If you read further, God threatened to kill her children( Vs 23).
If you're sexually immoral, you are hurting yourself greatly. There is a mystery about what happens during illicit sex that we may not know fully because it involves exchange of demon spirits.
Some will say "but I used condom". Condom is just latex rubber, demons can pass through that thin rubber. If they can pass through thick walls, how much more a thin rubber.
Through illicit sex, so many persons have become a home for all kinds of demons not only Jezebel spirit. If Satan want to deal with a man or woman quickly, illicit sex is his potent tool. That's why powerful men are rendered powerless quickly on the bed of immorality.
If Satan send a demon on assignment, it is very easy for that demon to operate unhindered in the life of a sexually immoral person because illicit sex is a door opener and virtue drainer.
Some persons are struggling through life and experiencing problems upon problems because because through illicit sex they opened the door for demons to torment and draw their lives backward.
I know a married man who was flourishing and doing fine. He was not so wealthy but was very comfortable. He became sexually active with a young lady. His life turned worse not long after. His reversal of fortune was shocking.
The young lady confessed to a senior minister I know that any man who sleeps with her can never breakthrough in life. Immediately, I knew where the man's problems came from. Till date, he's still struggling and running in circles.
If you have opened the door for Jezebel through sexual immorality, please close it. First, you need genuine repentance. You must have a change of heart about illicit sex accepting that it is a sin and not fun. It is capable of sending of sending one to hell( Rev 21:8).
Renew your mind with God's word daily( Romans 12:2). The greatest sexual organ is the mind. If you can renew your mind with God's word daily, you break the hold and strength of sexual immorality in your life.
You need to break every ungodly relationship and distance yourself from whatever trigger sexual immorality. Porn, x-rated videos, sensual music, alcohol and all other things that can trigger sexual sin.l
Lastly, drive out demons that has entered your life through sexual immorality. No one engages in illicit sex and remains thesame thereafter. Knowing this, you should be intentional and deliberate about sending them out of your life.
Father, I receive total deliverance from the spirit of lust and sexual immorality in Jesus name. Let your holy fire purify my heart in Jesus name. I receive the grace to close the door against Jezebel spirit and I send packing demons that entered my life through sexual immorality in Jesus name.
