A MIND THAT KNOWS NO IMPOSSIBILITY

Mark 11:23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart (NLT).

One morning during our family devotion, my second son mentioned his prayer request. It is our practice to allow our children tell us their prayer requests.

That very morning, our second son raised a prayer point that made me and my wife look at each other in unbelief. You know how you look at someone after hearing what sounds impossible.

His request seemed so impossible to us but he was serious and focused in the way he asked God to do it. To be candid, If we had hope of getting money or support from anywhere, we could have believed easily.

In fact, he prayed and asked God to grant that request before the end of that particular month. His mind knew no impossibility ours saw the many obstacles but we couldn't stop his prayers not to discourage him.

Leaving that prayer session, God began to point my attention to how faith works. The young boy didn't see the obstacles in his mind, he didn't know the cost price of commodities in the market.

While myself and wife believed God can do all things but the many obstacles, state of economy and our financial condition put great doubt in our hearts.

Faith only works for a man whose mind does not accept or agree with impossibility.

True faith is daring the impossible despite obstacles. If you really want your faith to work, your focus should be on what the power of God can do not the limitations of man.

Our faith should be rooted in God's word not in the happenings around us. As far as God is concerned, impossibility is nothing: "And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” ( Mt 19:26).

Find a scripture that promises what you desire. Believe it, keep your focus on it and not pn the circumstances and the impossibilities. Never stop confessing that scripture until you see the desired result.

CONFESSION: My faith is working for me, it is not dormant or useless. My faith rest in the power of God and His word not on man's limitations. I refuse to live in the reality of man's limitations. The reality of redemption becomes my reality in Jesus name.
