THE LAW OF CONFESSION
Kenneth E. Hagin of blessed memory shared an experience in one of his sermons. He was called upon to pray for a man in coma. He spent sometime praying in tongues. After a while, he heard the Spirit say, "He has set spiritual laws in motion, release his spirit and let him go". Himself also repeated those words several times. He told the pastor of the young man what he heard. The pastor had a similar confirmation but both of them were taken aback on his matter because they wondered the kind of spiritual law the man set in motion. After a while, the brother of the man in coma showed up and said "my brother has always been saying he wouldn't live to see his 40th birthday". Immediately, Kenneth E. Hagin knew his confession set the spiritual law in motion and no one could reverse it except him. In agreement with the pastor, both of them released his spirit as instructed by the Spirit, the man in coma smiled and gave up thereafter.
Our words are not ordinary. Words are tools in the realm of the spirit used to set spiritual laws in motion. You can determine the course of your life through your words. The bible says, "The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences"(Prov18:21). Words are powerful. I remember we set out for a village outreach years back. I joined the evangelistic team of my church. On our way, we got to a point where the road was flooded. Not so much a flood, we saw smaller vehicles passing and crossing the flood to the other side. Our driver said our vehicle won't cross to the other side. We told him to give a try since other vehicles were crossing. Those vehicles were smaller and close to the earth while ours was raised. As he tried to drive past the waters, the vehicle stopped right in the middle of that flood. We all blamed him for being negative in his confession. We couldn't go further until we got another vehicle. He set in motion a spiritual law that countered our intention. Never allow negative people in your team.
The writer of Proverbs says, "From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward"( Proverbs 12:14). This is profound. There are confessions I made several years ago and I'm seeing the manifestation today. There are confessions I'm making today that will shape my tomorrow. Some may sound too big, I don't care. I know I serve a big God who does big things. "Your life will go in the direction of your words. Your words will shape your life. What are you saying about your life? Some persons joke with negative utterances. They think it to mean something that doesn't matter. Their understanding is that those words are empty and meaningless. Your words are not empty, they determine your life. Never allow circumstances determine your words. Whatever you're going through will pass just maintain word based confession. Keep saying what God's word says about you and don't stop. Very soon, your words will catch up with your life.
CONFESSION: I will not fulfill the desires of the enemy. My life shall refelect God's glory and beauty. I walk in power, in favour and in the supernatural. I refuse to be a victim of the evil in my world. My lifitng shall be divine. I refuse to die of sickness, stray bullet or spiritual attack. I walk in divine health. The battles of life will not conquer me. My purpose I'll fulfill in Jesus name. I am triumphant.
