Psalms119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
In the Old testament, God gave them the law and he told them to meditate on it day and night. In the new testament, we don't operate by Mosaic laws but we have a better covenant through Christ and details are written in the bible for us to meditate upon. We may not benefit from God's word until we have a word revelation.
David knew the importance of God's word and he prayed that God should open his eyes so that he would see wondrous things from his words. The gap between you and your triumph is just a revelation from God's word. The day I discovered my kingly authority from God's word, I have not ceased using that authority when needed.
Some want to see vision and trances but I want to see God in his word. That's the best form of revelation. The scriptures is regarded as a sure word of prophecy. If you can lay hold of the truth in depth, you cannot be defeated any more. Stop seeking for 'thus saith the Lord' everywhere, key into God's word and dig deep till you find gold.
Father, show me wondrous things from your word In Jesus name.
