Psalms81:11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. 12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
Pastor E.A. Adeboye told a story about someone he wanted to pray for but God told him not to worry because the person would die. He tried praying for the person but he felt nothing. God is very patient and can wait for long for a man to have a change of heart for but the same God can give up on a man when man is willingly and persistently disobedient.
God gave up on Saul because he didn't hearken unto his voice. When men choose to disobey willingly and consistently, God can allow them have their way until they end in destruction. Our God is a loving God and he would do all he can to get men unto him but because man is a free moral agent who can make choice on his own, God won't force himself on any man.
If God no longer speak to you, you need to be sure he hasn't given up on you. When a man is full of his ways without seeking God's will in all situations, God may be silent in the life of such a fellow. It is dangerous for you to walk in your own counsels. The man that will enjoy God is not a perfect man but a broken and submissive man.
Father I repent from the sin of disobedience and I choose to follow your counsels without wavering In Jesus name. Amen
