Psalms105: 17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: 18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.
The story of Joseph is not new to so many of us. The word of the Lord came to Joseph at the age of 17. He saw the glorious future God planned for him and he was vocal about it. He saw the beauty but he didn't see the pain. He didn't know that there'll be time of pains, trials and suffering before the fulfilment of his dreams.
You need to know that the distance between where you are and where God has said you'll be is laced with pains, dissapointments, sufferings, despair and toil. That's something most christians don't want to hear. To think that you'll enter destiny on auto-drive without going through is a farce.
God uses those trying times to prune us and make us who he want us to be. I perceive Joseph was a pampered boy but he learnt the reality of life and stewardship when he was sold to slavery. He must have learnt how to forgive as well because he forgave his brothers without stress. He had the power to kill them when he saw them in Egypt but learning to forgive was part of his training.
What you are going through now won't last forever, it is a process you must go through before you enter into the fullness of what God has said.
I receive grace to endure trials, learn and become a better person in trials In Jesus name. Amen.
