Psalms37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
When I finished school and was about going for my national youth service, I told God how I wanted my service year to be. I told him I wanted a car in less than three months into service and also would like to serve in an oil firm. I went to camp to pray and was even rolling on the floor. Eventually, I was posted to the corpers' fellowship as a full time president/pastor.
Even though I had my personal desires then, God knew those things weren't in his perfect will for me at that time, he used circumstance to order my steps into the corpers' fellowship and that laid the foundation for my ministry and marriage. I don't have any regret that I worked for the Lord as a full time pastor(even though that was not what I wanted initially). God didn't speak to me but he ordered or spoke to my steps and I found myself in his will.
God can lead your steps into destiny. There is a type of divine direction whereby God uses circumstance to place you right into his perfect will. You may not hear a voice but God will make things around you to work in such a way that the only option you'll have is to just accept the offer before you. That's when your steps are ordered. It is only a good man that is entitled to this.
The good man is a man that is not hell bent on his own ways but is meek and ready to obey the master.
Father, order my steps according to your perfect will In Jesus Name.
