JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY
I am in the business of preaching because I am fully convinced Jesus is the only way. There's no other way. No other way I say.
When we say Jesus is the only way, what exactly do we mean?
What we are saying is that there's no other way to heaven or to God except through Jesus. Others are just a way that leads to nowheresville but Jesus is the only way to God.
Some persons call this "Christian particularism". They charge us for being too particular about one person being the way in a world where there are options.
In a world of post modern relativism, saying Jesus is the only way sounds unthoughtful, irrational and inconsiderate.
However, the mysteries of our faith is not subjected to rationality and human philosophical reasoning.
Unfortunately, some church goers have taken sides with unbelievers believing that there could be several other ways. Some persons believe all religions in the world have the same goal.
That's a display of bible ignorance and a disregard for the revealed truth in scriptures.
We believe in the inerrancy of God's word. The truth about Jesus being the only way is revealed in scriptures and we believe it.
No religious leader claimed to be the way. Only Jesus Christ boldly declared that He is the only way to God.
Jesus said, Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures (John 10:9 NLT).
Salvation can be obtained through Jesus Christ only: There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts of the Apostles 4:12 NLT).
Everything religion is trying to do is to find a way to please God and get to heaven but we know the way already. That's Christ.
For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son (Romans 5:10 NLT).
Jesus is the only way by which mankind can obtain forgiveness: "And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son"(1 John 5:11 NLT).
so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him( Hebrews 9:28 NLT).
Hallelujah!!! The man who comes to Jesus( the only way) is forgiven and given eternal life.
Painfully, anyone who doesn't accept Jesus Christ as the only way is condemned already: “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son"( John 3:18 NLT).
If you don't want unbelievers to be condemned, tell them about Jesus Christ. Believing comes by hearing.
