Isaiah5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Recently, it came as a surprise to the world when same-sex marriage was legalized by the ruling of U.S. supreme
Court. A nation that has its foundation laid on thorough scriptural truths has now become stinkingly secular without a sense of right judgement in matters that nature has made clear.
Prophet Isaiah also saw something similar in his days while doing his prophetic ministry. That was why he said 'woe to them that call evil good'. Humans have a way of making evil acceptable, the power of self-deceit and self-conviction is what the devil uses to pervert our thinking. When those things you accepted as evil have now become the norm for you, you need deliverance of the mind. God's word is the tool.
Our dear nation cannot grow from where it is to where it ought to be if we still celebrate corruption. As long as citizens still see corruption as a norm that we can't do away with, we won't grow as a nation. When we accept that stealing, exam malpractice, bribery, etc are not totally bad provided it serves the right purpose, we're incurring the 'woe' of God on our nation.
Let's stand for the truth, happy independence day anniversary to Nigeria.
Father, let Nigeria be great again, In Jesus name.
